The growth of peer-to-peer lending increased access to financing for Generation Z university students but also raised the risk of indebtedness. This study aimed to examine the effect of financial management behaviour on indebtedness among Generation Z university students using peer-to-peer lending services. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 200 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that respondents' financial management behaviour was categorized as poor, while indebtedness was categorized as high. Furthermore, financial management behaviour had a negative and significant effect on indebtedness, with an R² value of 0.816. These findings suggested that improving financial management behaviour could help reduce the risk of indebtedness among university students using peer-to-peer lending services.
