      Abstract
      Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh ekstrak daun bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides L.) terhadap performa produksi puyuh pasca puncak produksi yang dipelihara di lingkungan tropis dengan suhu lingkungan yang melebihi zona nyaman. Sebanyak 90 ekor puyuh berumur 34 minggu dipelihara dalam kandang koloni selama 28 hari, yang dibagi ke dalam tiga taraf perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan dan masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari 10 ekor puyuh. Ekstrak daun bandotan diberikan dengan dosis 0%, 3%, dan 4,5% ekor-1 puyuh setiap hari melalui air minum. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan data dianalisis ragam (ANOVA) dan uji banding berganda Tukey. Peubah yang diukur meliputi konsumsi pakan, konversi pakan, produksi telur, bobot telur, massa telur, dan mortalitas. Penambahan ekstrak daun bandotan ke dalam air minum secara signifikan menurunkan konsumsi minum puyuh (P < 0,05) pada dosis 4,5%, namun tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap performa produksi. Dosis bandotan yang digunakan belum berdampak pada performa produksi puyuh pasca puncak produksi.
       
      The objective of this study was to determine the effect of bandotan leaf extract (Ageratum conyzoides L.) on the production performance of quails after peak production was raised in a tropical environment with ambient temperatures exceeding their comfort zone. Total 90 quails aged 34 weeks were reared in colony cages for 28 days, divided into three treatment groups with three replicates, each consisting of ten quails. Bandotan leaf extract was administered at doses of 0%, 3%, and 4,5% per quail daily via drinking water. The study used a Completely randomized Design (CRD) and Tukey's multiple comparison test. Measured variables include feed intake, feed conversion ratio, egg production, egg weight, egg mass, and mortality. The addition of bandotan leaf extract to drinking water significantly reduces quail water intake (p < 0.05) at a 4,5% dose. Although it had no significant effect on production performance compared to other doses, the 3% dose showed good production performance results. The dose of bandotan used did not impact the quail production performance after the peak production period.
