| dc.description.abstract | Telur ulat sutra eri (Samia cynthia ricini) memiliki periode penetasan yang
relatif singkat dan tanpa diapause sehingga diperlukan pengaturan waktu penetasan
untuk meningkatkan efisiensi budidaya. Penyimpanan suhu rendah dapat
digunakan untuk menunda perkembangan embrio, namun berpotensi menurunkan
viabilitas. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh perendaman etilen glikol (EG) 1
Molar terhadap perkembangan embrio, daya tetas, dan durasi penundaan penetasan.
Suhu inkubator yang digunakan adalah 10 °C. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan
rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial 3 × 2 dengan faktor lama penyimpanan (7
dan 10 hari) dan lama perendaman EG (0, 3, 5, dan 7 menit). Hasil menunjukkan
bahwa lama penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata (p < 0,05) terhadap durasi penetasan
dan penundaan penetasan, sedangkan perendaman etilen glikol tidak berpengaruh
nyata. Penyimpanan selama 10 hari menyebabkan perlambatan perkembangan
embrio yang lebih besar dibandingkan 7 hari, sedangkan daya tetas pada perlakuan
etilen glikol cenderung lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol namun tidak berbeda
nyata (p > 0,05). | |
| dc.description.abstract | The eggs of the eri silkworm (Samia cynthia ricini) have a relatively short
incubation period and do not undergo diapause, making hatch timing management
necessary to improve rearing efficiency. Low temperature storage can be used to
delay embryonic development but may reduce viability. This study evaluated the
effect of 1 M ethylene glycol (EG) immersion on embryonic development,
hatchability, and hatch delay. Eggs were stored at 10 °C in an incubator. The
experiment employed a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with storage
duration (7 and 10 days) and EG immersion time (0, 3, 5, and 7 min) as factors. The
results showed that storage duration significantly affected (p < 0.05) hatching
duration and hatch delay, whereas ethylene glycol immersion had no significant
effect. Storage for 10 days caused greater retardation of embryonic development
than storage for 7 days, while hatchability tended to be lower in the ethylene glycol
treatments than in the control, although the difference was not significant (p > 0.05). | |
