Analisis Kelayakan Finansial dan Keberlanjutan Pemanfaatan Limbah Abu Batu Bara pada Usaha Gerabah berbasis Ekonomi Sirkular
Abstract
Pemanfaatan limbah abu batu bara (Fly Ash and Bottom Ash/FABA) sebagai substitusi parsial pasir dalam produksi gerabah merupakan salah satu bentuk penerapan ekonomi sirkular pada usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Namun, kajian mengenai kelayakan finansial dan keberlanjutan usaha yang memanfaatkan FABA masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kelayakan finansial, tingkat keberlanjutan, serta keterkaitan antara keduanya pada usaha Arum Gerabah Mbak Ning di Kabupaten Pacitan salah satu UMKM berskala kecil. Analisis kelayakan finansial dilakukan menggunakan Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), dan switching value. Analisis keberlanjutan menggunakan metode Multi-aspect Sustainability Analysis (MSA) pada aspek ekonomi, sosial,
lingkungan, dan kelembagaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan usaha layak secara finansial dengan NPV sebesar Rp168.743.853, Net B/C sebesar 14,8, IRR sebesar
121%, dan PP selama 1 tahun 4 bulan. Analisis switching value menunjukkan bahwa penerimaan usaha merupakan variabel paling sensitif dengan batas penurunan maksimum sebesar 19,6%. Hasil MSA memperoleh skor agregat 60,55 yang tergolong berkelanjutan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan FABA sebagai substitusi parsial pasir tidak hanya layak secara finansial, tetapi juga mendukung keberlanjutan usaha melalui penerapan prinsip ekonomi sirkular. The utilization of coal ash waste (Fly Ash and Bottom Ash/FABA) as a partial substitute for sand in pottery production represents an application of the circular economy in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, studies examining the financial feasibility and business sustainability of enterprises
utilizing FABA remain limited. This study aimed to analyze the financial feasibility, sustainability level, and the relationship between these two aspects in Arum Gerabah Mbak Ning, a small-scale pottery MSME located in Pacitan Regency. Financial feasibility was evaluated using the Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and
switching value analyses. Business sustainability was assessed using the Multiaspect Sustainability Analysis (MSA), covering economic, social, environmental,
and institutional aspects. The results indicate that the enterprise is financially feasible, with an NPV of IDR 168,743,853, a Net B/C of 14.8, an IRR of 121%, and a payback period of 1 year and 4 months. The switching value analysis identified revenue as the most sensitive variable, with a maximum allowable decline of 19.6%. The MSA yielded an aggregate sustainability score of 60.55,
indicating that the enterprise is sustainable. These findings demonstrate that utilizing FABA as a partial substitute for sand is not only financially feasible but
also supports business sustainability through the implementation of circular economy principles.
