dc.description.abstractKondisi mikroklimat kandang yang tidak stabil, khususnya suhu dan kelembapan tinggi menyebabkan heat stress yang berdampak pada penurunan performa produksi puyuh. Penerapan kipas otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menjadi salah satu solusi untuk menjaga kestabilan suhu kandang. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh penerapan kipas otomatis berbasis IoT terhadap performa produksi puyuh. Sebanyak 200 ekor puyuh umur 8 minggu dipelihara selama 6 minggu. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 2 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri atas 20 ekor puyuh. Perlakuan terdiri atas kandang kontrol dan kandang kipas otomatis berbasis IoT. Peubah yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, massa telur, konversi pakan, dan mortalitas. Data suhu dan kelembapan digunakan untuk menghitung Temperature Humidity Index (THI). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan kipas otomatis berbasis IoT berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05) terhadap performa produksi puyuh. Penerapan kipas otomatis berbasis IoT meningkatkan konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, dan massa telur, serta menurunkan konversi pakan dan mortalitas.
dc.description.abstractUnstable cage microclimate conditions, particularly high temperature and humidity, may cause heat stress, which negatively affects quail production performance. The implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic fan system is considered a potential solution to maintain cage temperature stability. This study aimed to analyze the effect of an IoT-based automatic fan system on quail production performance. A total of 200 eight-week-old quails were reared for six weeks. The study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two treatments and five replications, with each replication consisting of 20 quails. The treatments consisted of a control cage and a cage equipped with an IoT-based automatic fan system. The observed variables included feed consumption, egg production, egg mass, feed conversion ratio, and mortality. Temperature and humidity data were used to calculate the Temperature Humidity Index (THI). Data were analyzed using an independent t-test. The results showed that the implementation of the IoT-based automatic fan system significantly affected (P < 0,05) quail production performance. The IoT-based automatic fan system increased feed consumption, egg production, and egg mass, while reducing feed conversion ratio and mortality.
