      Abstract

Economic coping strategies employed by former Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) require good social support from their families to help reduce stress and enhance happiness. This quantitative descriptive study aims to analyze the relationship between economic coping strategies and family social support on the happiness of women among former PMI. The study used a cross-sectional design with a purposive sampling technique, involving 40 wives with children, who had worked as PMI and had returned to Indonesia for at least one year. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation tests, and linear regression. The results of the correlation test showed a significant negative relationship between husband's income and economic coping strategies. There was a significant positive relationship between social support and economic coping strategies. The results of the regression test showed a significant influence on the dimension of nuclear family social support on the happiness of former female PMI.
