      Abstract

The Islamic capital market in Indonesia has shown significant growth. This study examines the relationship between respondent characteristics and religiosity, investment knowledge, risk profile, motivation, and interest in retail sukuk. It involved 120 productive-age muslim respondents with knowledge of retail sukuk, selected voluntarily. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a path analysis approach. Correlation results show age is positively related to risk profile and negatively to investment motivation. Female respondents showed higher interest but lower risk tolerance. Income was negatively related to motivation and interest in sukuk, but positively to risk profile. Marital status was positively linked to religiosity and preference for sharia-based investments. Path analysis revealed religiosity positively affects motivation, while investment knowledge has a negative effect. Religiosity and motivation significantly influence interest in retail sukuk, highlighting the role of faith and personal drive in shaping sharia-compliant investment preferences.
