      Indikator Stres dan Ketahanan Tubuh Puyuh Periode Grower dengan Pemberian Asap Cair Tempurung Kelapa Grade 2

      Abstract
      Puyuh (Coturnix coturnix japonica) memiliki potensi yang cukup besar untuk menghasilkan telur dengan siklus yang sangat cepat. Faktor yang memengaruhi produktivitas burung puyuh salah satunya yaitu suhu lingkungan. Suhu lingkungan di Indonesia berada diatas zona nyaman puyuh. Kondisi lingkungan ini menyebabkan puyuh mengalami stres panas akibat cekaman. Stres panas dapat diatasi dengan pemberian suplemen tambahan dari bahan alami pada air minum, salah satunya asap cair. Asap cair dapat dihasilkan dari bahan alami seperti tempurung kelapa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan Asap Cair Tempurung Kelapa (ACTK) grade 2 dalam air minum terhadap indikator stres dan ketahanan tubuh puyuh periode grower. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan dengan 4 kali ulangan, yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (0,25 mL ACTK G2 L-1 air minum), P2 (0,50 mL ACTK G2 L-1 air minum), P3 (0,75 mL ACTK G2 L-1 air minum) dan P4 (1 mL ACTK G2 L-1 air minum). Parameter yang diamati meliputi saturasi oksigen, frekuensi pernapasan, suhu rektal, rasio H/L, total leukosit, dan clearance test terhadap S. pullorum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ACTK G2 dosis 0,75 mL L-1 mampu meningkatkan saturasi oksigen hingga 90,33%, menurunkan suhu rektal, serta menghasilkan daya tahan tubuh terbaik dengan kematian bakteri S. pullorum sebesar 99,32%. Rasio H/L dan frekuensi pernapasan menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ACTK G2 efektif sebagai antistres alami yang dapat meningkatkan ketahanan tubuh puyuh periode grower, khususnya pada level 0,075% (0,75 mL L-1).
       
      Quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) has considerable potential to produce eggs in a very short laying cycle. One of the key factors affecting quail productivity is environmental temperature. The high ambient temperature in Indonesia often exceeds the thermal comfort zone for quails, leading to heat stress. This condition can be mitigated by supplementing drinking water with natural materials like coconut shell. This study aimed to analyze the use of Grade 2 Coconut Shell Liquid Smoke (CSLS G2) in drinking water on stress indicators and immune resilience of grower-period quail. The research used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of five treatment levels with four replications: P0 (control), P1 (0.25 mL CSLS G2 L?¹ drinking water), P2 (0.50 mL CSLS G2 L?¹), P3 (0.75 mL CSLS G2 L?¹), and P4 (1.00 mL CSLS G2 L?¹). Observed parameters included oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, rectal temperature, H/L ratio, total leukocyte count, and clearance test againts S. pullorum. The results showed that supplementation with 0,75 mL L-1 CSLS G2 increased oxygen saturation to 90,33%, reduced rectal temperature, and resulted in the highest immune performance, with S. pullorum mortality reaching 99,32%. H/L rasio and respiratory rate showed no significant differences among treatments. It is concluded that CSLS G2 is effective as a natural anti-stress agent and enhances the immune resilience of grower period quail, particularly at the 0,075% (0.75 mL L?¹) level.
