Ayam petelur merupakan jenis ternak yang dipelihara untuk produksi telur.
Performa ayam petelur dipengaruhi oleh pakan, sehingga pemberian pakan
berkualitas dapat mengoptimalkan kinerjanya. Daun jambu biji (Psidium guajava)
mengandung senyawa yang dapat meningkatkan performa ayam petelur. Penelitian
ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh penambahan daun jambu biji dalam pakan
terhadap performa ayam petelur. Penelitian dilakukan selama sepuluh minggu
produksi dengan menggunakan 100 ekor ayam petelur strain Lohman Brown, yang
dibagi ke dalam empat perlakuan, yaitu tanpa penambahan daun jambu biji (P1),
penambahan daun jambu biji sebanyak 1% (P2), 1,5% (P3), dan 2% (P4) dalam
pakan. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi konsumsi pakan, produksi telur, massa
telur, konversi pakan, mortalitas, dan IOFC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
P2 berpengaruh nyata terhadap konsumsi pakan dan P4 berpengaruh nyata terhadap
konversi pakan sementara pemberian daun jambu biji tidak berpengaruh terhadap
persen produksi telur, massa telur, dan mortalitas. IOFC tertinggi pada P2 sebesar
Rp274.740. Laying hens are type of poultry that raised for egg production. The
performance of laying hens is influenced by feed, so providing high-quality feed
can optimize their production performance. Guava leaves (Psidium guajava)
contain compounds that can optimize the performance of laying hens. This study
aimed to analyzed the effect of adding guava leaves in feed on the performance of
laying hens. The researched was conducted over ten weeks production period using
100 Lohman Brown strain laying hens, which were divided into four treatments: no
guava leaf supplementation (P1), the addition of 1% guava leaf (P2), 1,5% (P3),
and 2% (P4) in feed. The collected data included feed consumption, egg production,
egg mass, feed conversion, mortality, and income over feed cost (IOFC). The results
showed that P2 had a significant effect on feed consumption, and P4 significantly
affected feed conversion, while guava leaf supplementation had no significant
effect on egg production percentage, egg mass, and mortality. The highest IOFC
was recorded in P2 at IDR274.740.
