      Rekayasa Penetasan Telur Ulat Sutra (Samia cynthia ricini) Menggunakan Metode Fotoperiode 24:0L Pada Suhu Berbeda

      Abstract
      Produk tekstil sutra yang terbuat dari serat kokon ulat sutra merupakan contoh utama produk tekstil alami. Ulat sutra eri (Samia cynthia ricini) adalah salah satu spesies ulat sutra non murbei. Telur ulat sutra eri tidak memiliki fase diapause sehingga telur mulai menetas pada hari ke-8 setelah oviposisi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, pengendalian penetasan telur ulat sutra eri diperlukan dalam membantu pendistribusian dan pengontrolan daya tetas ulat sutra eri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fotoperiode lama penyinaran 24D (dark):0L (light) pada suhu berbeda yaitu suhu 15 ?, 25 ?, 30 ? dan suhu ruang. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui lama waktu penundaan dan performa daya tetas yang dihasilkan fotoperiode 24D:0L dari perlakuan suhu yang diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan 1163 butir telur sutra eri pada empat perlakuan. Perlakuan suhu 15 ? menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan dalam penundaan waktu penetasan yaitu 23,96±0,07 hari, namun daya tetasnya cenderung rendah yaitu 9,68±9,13%. Suhu 25 ? menunjukkan performa viabilitas (50,88±11,76%) paling baik dalam penelitian ini.
       
      Silk textile products made from silkworm cocoon fibers are a prime example of natural textile products. Samia cynthia ricini, or the eri silkworm, is one species of non-mulberry silkworm. The eggs of S. c. ricini do not undergo diapause, so the eggs begin to hatch on the 8th day after oviposition. Based on this, controlling the hatching of eri silkworm eggs is necessary to support distribution and regulate the hatching rate of the eri silkworm. This study used a photoperiod method with 24D (dark):0L (light) under different temperatures, namely 15?°C, 25?°C, 30?°C, and room temperature. The study aimed to determine the delay duration and hatching performance resulting from the 24D:0L photoperiod at the tested temperatures. A total of 1,163 S. c. ricini eggs were used across four treatments. The 15?°C temperature treatment showed a significant delay in hatching time, which was 23,96±0,07 days, but the hatching rate was relatively low at 9,68±9,13%. The 25?°C treatment showed the best viability performance in this study, with a hatching rate of 50,88±11,76%.
