dc.description.abstractTransportasi ternak adalah proses memindahkan ternak dari suatu tempat ke tempat yang lain dengan tujuan distribusi. Transportasi ternak berdampak langsung terhadap ternak, diantaranya ternak mengalami cekaman suhu lingkungan, perubahan fisiologis dan penyusutan bobot badan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis respon fisiologis dan performa ternak babi Landrace pada durasi pengangkutan yang berbeda. Data dianalisis menggunakan RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) dengan tiga perlakuan durasi berbeda yaitu P1= 1 jam, P2= 2 jam dan P3= 3 jam dengan peubah yang diukur adalah denyut nadi, laju pernafasan, suhu rektal dan bobot badan. Data bobot badan dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam, sementara data mikroklimatik dan rekondisi respon fisiologis dianalisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon fisiologis dan performa babi Landrace setelah loading dan sebelum unloading menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda pada setiap perlakuan. Rekondisi babi Landrace tidak menurun secara signifikan dalam satu jam. Pengangkutan ternak babi dapat dilakukan dengan durasi optimal 2 jam.
dc.description.abstractLivestock transportation is the process of moving livestock from one place to another with the purpose of distribution. Livestock transportation has a direct impact on livestock themselves, including livestock experiencing stress due to environmental temperature, changes in physiological responses and reduction in body weight. The study aimed to analyze the physiological response and performance of landrace pigs at different transportation durations. Data were analyzed using RAL (Completely Randomized Design) with three different time treatments, namely P1=1 hour, P2=2 hours and P3=3 hours on heart rate, respiratory rate, rectal temperature and body weight. Descriptive analysis is used for microclimatic data and physiological response reconditioning. The results showed that the pulse rate and body weight of landrace pigs after loading and before unloading showed different results between treatments. The results of landrace pig reconditioning data concluded that it did not decrease significantly within one hour. Transporting pigs can be carried out with an optimal duration of 2 hours.
