dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji performa kelinci New Zealand White, Hycole dan silangan di peternakan kelinci Arnabun meliputi performa reproduksi induk kelinci yang telah beranak dan ukuran tubuh kelinci jantan berumur diatas 6 bulan. Penelitian menggunakan kelinci New Zealand White (3 ekor betina dan 22 ekor jantan), Hycole (10 ekor betina dan 7 ekor jantan) serta silangan (5 ekor betina). Data dianalisis menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dan uji lanjut Duncan multiple range test. Reproduksi untuk umur pertama dikawinkan pada induk kelinci silangan lebih baik (P<0,05) dibandingkan Hycole dan New Zealand White, yaitu sebesar 159,6±33,9 hari, 176,0±26,8 hari dan 232,7±4,7 hari. Sifat service per conception, lama bunting, jumlah anak sekelahiran dan lama waktu dikawinkan kembali tidak berbeda (P>0,05). Bobot badan jantan kelinci New Zealand White dan Hycole tidak berbeda, Hycole lebih tinggi ukuran panjang kepala, panjang dan lebar telinga serta panjang tulang punggung dibanding New Zealand White, tetapi New Zealand White memiliki ukuran dalam dada, lebar dada, panjang tulang femoris dan lebar panggul lebih tinggi dibanding Hycole. Kelinci New Zealand White memiliki tipe tubuh compact dan Hycole bertubuh commercial yang termasuk tipe kelinci pedaging.
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to assess the performance of New Zealand White, Hycole and crossbreed rabbits at Arnabun rabbit farm includes rabbit reproductive performance of doe’s which had partus and body size in buck’s over 6 months old. The study used New Zealand White rabbits (3 doe’s and 22 buck’s), Hycole (10 doe’s and 7 buck’s) and crossbreeds (5 doe’s). Data were analyzed using a completely randomized design and Duncan multiple range test. Reproduction on age at first mating of crossbreed rabbits was better (P<0,05) than Hycole and New Zealand White at 159,6±33,9 days, 176,0±26,8 days and 232,7±4,7 days, respectively. The traits of service per conception, length of gestation, number of litter size at born and length of time mated again were not different (P>0,05). Male body weights of New Zealand White and Hycole rabbits were not different, Hycole had higher head length, ear length and width, and backbone length than New Zealand White, but New Zealand White had higher chest depth, chest widht, femoral bone length and pelvic width than Hycole. New Zealand White rabbits have a compact body type and Hycole have a commercial body type which includes broiler rabbits.
