Sheep play an important role in various aspects of society such as food and economy. The diversity of regions has resulted in many breeds of sheep spread across the world. Physical performance characteristics can distinguish one breed from another. To identify sheep breeds, several variables are observed, namely sheep breed, gender, age, and weight before slaughter. The purpose of the research is to identify the types of sheep slaughtered at places for aqiqah (Islamic ritual sacrifice) and special sheep slaughterhouses. The research data was obtained through qualitative and quantitative identification using observational methods. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively. The data collected during the research was entered into Microsoft Excel software and processed to determine averages, modes, maximum, and minimum values. The results of the research show that the most frequently slaughtered breed is the Thin-Tailed Sheep (Domba Ekor Tipis, DET), with the majority being female (78%), the most common slaughter age being 1-1.5 years (I1), and an average slaughter weight of about 17.83±0.1 kg.
