      Formulasi Base Plate Lateks dengan Penambahan Nata de Coco untuk Perawatan Stoma

      Abstract
      Meningkatnya jumlah penyandang stoma di Indonesia mendorong kebutuhan akan base plate untuk kantong stoma yang terjangkau dan berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan formulasi base plate stoma yang terbaik dari lateks dengan penambahan nata de coco sebagai bahan pengisi (filler) untuk memperbaiki sifat mekanik pada lateks dan gliserin sebagai bahan tambahan yang bersifat plasticizer. Pembuatan base plate terdapat tahap pertama dan kedua. Tahap kedua sebagai lanjutan formulasi pada tahap pertama yang memperoleh formulasi yang terbaik. Hasil base plate lateks dilakukan pengujian ketahanan sobek menggunakan alat Elmendorf, kekuatan tarik menggunakan alat Tensile Strength Tester, swelling ratio, dan sensori metode skala Likert. Base plate lateks yang memiliki hasil terbaik yaitu pada tahap kedua dengan lateks 30 ml, nata de coco 10 g, air 70 ml, gliserin 3 ml, pewangi:air sebanyak 1:5 dengan hasil uji ketahanan sobek sebesar 1360 kg/f, kekuatan tarik sebesar 236,87 kgf/cm2 , swelling ratio sebesar 360%, dan uji sensori menurut skala Likert sebesar 72%.
       
      The increasing number of stoma patients in Indonesia encourages the need for affordable and quality base plates for stoma bags. This study aims to find the best stoma base plate formulation from latex with the addition of nata de coco as a filler to improve mechanical properties in latex and glycerin as a plasticizer additive. The manufacture of the base plate has the first and second stages. The second stage as a continuation of the formulation in the first stage which obtained the best formulation. The latex base plate results were tested for tear resistance using the Elmendorf tool, tensile strength using the Tensile Strength Tester tool, swelling ratio, and Likert scale method sensory. Latex base plate that has the best results is in the second stage with latex 30 ml, nata de coco 10 g, water 70 ml, glycerin 3 ml, fragrance: water as much as 1: 5 with tear resistance test results of 1360 kg / f, tensile strength of 236.87 kgf / cm2, swelling ratio of 360%, and sensory test according to Likert scale of 72%.
