dc.description.abstractSargassum polycystum dan Gracilaria edulis menghasilkan metabolit sekunder yang berpotensi sebagai senyawa antioksidan alami pada sediaan hand body lotion untuk menangkal radikal bebas. Penelitian bertujuan menentukan formulasi terbaik hand body lotion dengan penambahan ekstrak S. polycystum dan G. edulis berdasarkan karakteristik fisiko-kimia dan analisis sensori. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan tiga ulangan. Data parametrik diuji dengan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut Duncan pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Data non-parametrik diuji dengan Kruskal-Wallis dan uji lanjut Multiple Comparison. Formulasi hand body lotion terbaik berdasarkan metode Bayes yaitu F5 dengan nilai pembobotan sebesar 3,92. Formulasi F5 menghasilkan lotion dengan viskositas sebesar 3.141 cP, daya sebar sebesar 7,45 cm, bersifat homogen, aktivitas antioksidan sebesar 123,07 ppm, nilai pH sebesar 7,35, kenaikan kelembaban kulit sebesar 41,57%, dan menghasilkan skala hedonik uji sensori dengan nilai 4,00-4,13 (disukai).id
dc.description.abstractSargassum polycystum and Gracilaria edulis produce secondary metabolites that have the potential to act as natural antioxidant compounds in hand body lotions to counteract free radicals. The aim of this study was to determine the best formulation for hand body lotion with the addition of both S. polycystum and G. edulis seaweed extracts based on their physico-chemical characteristics and sensory analysis. The experimental design used a completely randomized design with three replications. Parametric data was tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's advanced test at a confidence level of 95%. Non-parametric data was tested with Kruskal-Wallis and the Multiple Comparison advanced test. The best hand body lotion formulation based on the Bayes method is F5 with a weighting value of 3.92. The F5 formulation produces a lotion with viscosity of 3,141 cP, spreadability of 7.45 cm, homogeneous, antioxidant activity of 123.07 ppm, pH value of 7.35, increase in skin moisture of 41.57%, and produces a sensory test hedonic scale with a value of 4.00-4.13 (preferred).id
