Scale Up dan Perancangan Desain Tata Letak Fasilitas Produksi Kosmetik di PT Sacha Inchi Sejahtera (SAINS)

Abstract

PT Sacha Inchi Indonesia (SAINS) mengembangkan minyak sacha inchi menjadi produk turunan berupa kosmetik seperti krim wajah dan face oil. Namun, PT SAINS belum memiliki perencanaan proses produksi skala industri dan tata letak fasilitas produksinya. Proses penggandaan skala (scale up) perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi serta mendapatkan hasil produksi yang konsisten pada skala yang lebih besar. Tata letak merupakan tata cara pengaturan fasilitas proses produksi yang bertujuan menunjang kelancaran proses produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh perencanaan proses produksi produk krim dan face oil dalam skala industri serta memberikan rekomendasi tata letak usulan kepada PT SAINS. Pengembangan proses produksi dari skala laboratorium ke skala industri menggunakan metode penggandaan skala yang didasarkan pada perlakuan terbaik pada penelitian skala laboratorium. Perancangan tata letak dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) dengan memanfaatkan algoritma CORELAP (Computerized Relationship Layout Planning) dan dirancang dengan memperhatikan aspek yang disyaratkan dalam CPKB. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan penggandaan skala didapatkan rendemen produk krim dan face oil adalah 95%. Krim wajah dan face oil diproduksi 40 kali dalam sebulan dengan kapasitas 5 kg per batch. Hasil perancangan tata letak area produksi adalah terdapat 14 ruangan dengan luas total sebesar 102,44 m2.

The process of doubling the scale (scale up) needs to be done to increase production capacity and obtain consistent production results on a larger scale. The layout is a procedure for setting up production process facilities that aim to support the smooth production process. This study aimed to obtain planning for the production process of cream and face oil products on an industrial scale and provide recommendations for the layout of the proposal to PT SAINS. Development of production processes from laboratory scale to industrial scale used the scale doubling method based on the best treatment in laboratory-scale research. The layout design was carried out using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method by utilizing the CORELAP (Computerized Relationship Layout Planning) algorithm and is designed by taking into account the aspects required in the CPKB. Based on the results of calculating the doubling of the scale, the yield of cream and face oil products is 95%. Face cream and face oil are produced 40 times a month with a capacity of 5 kg per batch. The result of the production area layout design is that there are 14 rooms with a total area of 102.44 m2.
