dc.description.abstractCV. Bio Chitosan Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang berfokus di bidang pengolahan cangkang hewan laut dengan memproduksi kitin dan kitosan yang berkualitas. Pabrik ini baru berdiri dan masih memerlukan perbaikan dan evaluasi dari sistem kerjanya, khususnya tata letak pabrik yang belum teratur, sehingga menimbulkan adanya backtracking, tidak adanya SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) yang terstandar serta lingkungan kerja yang cukup berbahaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki tata letak area kerja dan fasilitas pabrik yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pergerakan aliran material, serta merancang SOP produksi kitin. Perbaikan tata letak dilakukan mengikuti metode SLP (Systematic Layout Planning) dengan software BLOCPLAN90. SOP dirancang melalui diskusi, observasi, dan studi literatur. Perbaikan tata letak yang dilakukan menghasilkan total jarak yang lebih pendek dari tata letak awal dengan peningkatan efisiensi pergerakan material sebesar 32,97%. Beberapa perbaikan tata letak fasilitas direkomendasikan pada 9 area kerja. SOP dirancang dalam bentuk diagram alir dengan memperhatikan titik kritis dan pengendalian potensi bahaya di setiap tahapan proses, sehingga SOP yang dirancang memperhatikan kualitas mutu produk dan keselamatan kerja pekerja.id
dc.description.abstractCV. Bio Chitosan Indonesia is a company focused on processing shells of marine animals by producing quality chitin and chitosan. This factory is just established and still requires improvement and evaluation of its work system, especially the irregular factory layout which resulted in backtracking, the absence of standardized SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and a fairly dangerous work environment. This research aims to improve the layout of workspace and factory facilities that can increase the efficiency of material flow movement and design SOPs for chitin production. Layout improvements are done with the SLP (Systematic Layout Planning) method using BLOCPLAN90 software. SOPs are made through discussion, observation, and literature study. The layout improvements resulted in a shorter total distance than the initial layout with an increase in material movement efficiency by 32,97%. Some improvements to the layout of the facility were recommended in the 9 workspaces. SOPs were designed in the form of flowcharts by paying attention to critical points and controlling potential hazards at each stage of the process so that designed SOPs have paid attention to product quality and the safety of workers.id
