Persentase Non Karkas dan Organ Imunitas Ayam IPB-D1 Jantan dan Betina pada Pemeliharaan Sistem Free-Range
Abstract
There are two products produced during slaughter, namely carcass as the main product and non-carcass as a side product. Lymphoid organs are organs that play a role in the immune system of poultry. This study aims to analyze the weight percentage of non-carcass organs and immune organs, as well as to analyze the results of gut measurements in male and female IPB-D1 chickens reared in a free-range system. This study used 15 male and female IPB-D1 chickens each. Data were analyzed using the independent T-test. The results of this study indicated that the percentages of spleen and cache were significantly different; duodenal percentage significantly different; and not significantly different in the percentage of blood, feathers, head, neck, claws, heart, liver, thymus, bursa of Fabricius, jejunum, ileum, cecum, and colon. The sex of the IPB-D1 chickens had no effect on the percentage of non-carcasses and immune organs of the chickens. The free-range system has a positive impact, which is in accordance with animal welfare, and the negative impact is more susceptible to disease.
