dc.description.abstractUlat sutra Samia cynthia ricini atau dikenal dengan ulat sutra eri (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) berasal dari kelompok non murbei. Faktor yang memengaruhi kualitas kokon ulat sutra eri yaitu kondisi lingkungan, kualitas pakan serta genetik ulat. Berdasarkan sifatnya, dilakukan seleksi dan persilangan untuk mendapatkan galur baru yaitu galur jopati dan prasojo. Belum ada kajian terkait kualitas kokon ulat sutra eri galur jopati dan prasojo, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas kokon ulat sutra eri galur jopati dan prasojo dengan pemberian pakan daun singkong (Manihot utilissima) di kondisi lingkungan optimum. Parameter yang diukur adalah suhu dan kelembapan lingkungan, karakteristik kokon, morfometrik kokon dan kualitas kokon. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji-T. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini ialah terdapat pengaruh genetik S. c. ricini galur jopati dan prasojo terhadap kokon yang dihasilkan. Kokon yang dihasilkan galur jopati dan prasojo memiliki kualitas yang berbeda pada parameter tertentu.id
dc.description.abstractSamia cynthia ricini silkworm, known as eri silkworm (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae), is from the non-mulberry group. Some factors affect the quality of the eri silkworm cocoon, precisely the environmental conditions, feed quality and genetic of the larvae. Based on its nature, selection and crosses were carried out to obtain new strains of the eri silkworm: jopati and prasojo. There has yet to be a study related to the quality of the cocoons of the jopati and prasojo, so this study aims to analyze the quality of the jopati and prasojo cocoon by feeding them with Manihot utilissima cassava leaves at optimum environment condition. Parameters that have been measured were temperature and humidity of the environment, cocoon characteristics, cocoon morphometry and cocoon quality. The collected data has been analyzed using the T-test. The results obtained from this research are genetic of S. c. ricini jopati and prasojo strains influences for its cocoon. The jopati and prasojo cocoon has different quality.id
