dc.description.abstractUlat sutra eri S. c. ricini dari famili Saturniidae merupakan penghasil serat sutra yang digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan kain. Genetika ulat sutra eri S. c. ricini dapat direkayasa untuk membuat galur-galur baru yang dapat dipelihara di lingkungan tertentu. Galur sintentik progo dan joglo dibentuk melalui metode seleksi dan persilangan yang dapat dipelihara di suhu panas dan kelembapan rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis produktivitas ulat sutra eri S. c. ricini galur progo dan joglo pada kondisi optimum. Perbedaan produktivitas keduanya dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode uji-T. Peubah yang diamati antara lain suhu dan kelembapan, konsumsi pakan, panjang, lebar, dan bobot tubuh ulat sutra, lama fase ulat, mortalitas, dan produktivitas kokon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa galur progo memiliki hasil yang lebih tinggi pada parameter konsumsi pakan, panjang, lebar, dan berat larva, mortalitas, serta produktivitas kokon dibandingkan galur joglo. Perbedaan galur ulat sutra eri S. c. ricini memiliki pengaruh terhadap produktivitas yaitu pada peubah morfometrik dan produksi kokon.id
dc.description.abstractThe eri silkworm S. c. ricini from Saturniidae is a silk fiber producer used as a raw material for making cloth. The genetics of the eri silkworm of S. c. ricini can be fabricated to make new strains that can be maintained in a specific environment. The progo and joglo strain was created through selection methods and crossbreeding that can be maintained in hot temperatures and low humidity. This study aimed to determine the productivity of the progo and joglo strains under optimum conditions. The differences in their productivity were evaluated using the T-test method. Parameters observed included temperature and humidity, feed consumption, larval body length, width and weight, length of silkworm phase, mortality, and cocoon. The results showed that the progo strain had higher results in the parameters of feed consumption, larval length, width, weight, mortality, and cocoon productivity than the joglo strain. The differences strain of eri silkworm S. c. ricini had an effect on productivity on morphometric variables and cocoon production.id
