| dc.description.abstract | Kesadaran orang tua sebagai pelopor karakter bagi anak masih cukup rendah. Keluarga (orang tua) merupakan tempat utama dan orang pertama yang dapat membantu anak dalam memberikan pelatihan emosi kepada anak agar memiliki harga diri (self- esteem) yang baik dan menjadi pribadi berkarakter baik dalam aspek kesantunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan di antara variabel orang tua pelatih emosi, harga diri, dan karakter santun siswa SMA di daerah pesisir Cirebon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional study dengan melibatkan 60 siswa di salah satu SMA Negeri di Cirebon Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orangtua di daerah pesisir ini umumnya menerapkan gaya pengasuhan orang tua pelatih sudah cukup baik, harga diri siswa SMA cenderung rendah, sedangkan karakter santun terkategori rendah. Uji hubungan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif signifikan antara pendidikan ayah dengan harga diri remaja dan terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara harga diri remaja dengan karakter santun. Hasil uji pengaruh menunjukkan bahwa harga diri berpengaruh positif (β = 0.811) terhadap karakter santun. | id |
| dc.description.abstract | The awareness of parents as character pioneers for children is still quite low. The family (parents) is the main place and the first person who can help children in providing emotional training to children so that they have good self-esteem and become individuals with good character in the aspect of politeness. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the variables of emotional coach parents, self-esteem, and polite character of high school students in the coastal area of Cirebon. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional study design involving 60 students in one of the public high schools in North Cirebon. The results showed that parents in this coastal area generally applied the parenting style of coaches which was quite good, high school students' self-esteem tended to be low, while polite character was categorized as low. The relationship test showed that there was a significant negative relationship between father's education and adolescent self- esteem and there was a significant positive relationship between adolescent self-esteem and polite character. The results of the influence test show that self-esteem has a positive effect (β = 0.811) on polite character. | id |
