      Abstract

Feed is an important component in the implementation of cultivation activities. Feed has a role in regulating the growth pattern and quality of fish meat. Feed in cultivation activities is included in the main cost component, which reaches the range of 60-80% of the total production cost. Based on this, good quality feed is needed, which can increase the growth rate and quality of fish meat. Improving the quality of feed, can be done by providing additional components in the feed ingredients. Cinnamon is one of the additional raw materials that is generally used in fish feed for several aquaculture commodities. The use of cinnamon in feed is based on the content of cinnamaldehyde which can increase growth and improve the quality of fish meat. Based on this, it is necessary to compare or analyze the effect of giving cinnamon and its derivatives to various fish with different species. Sources of data used in the form of secondary data derived from theses, theses, dissertations, journals, and various literature from the internet. Data collection is done by three methods, among others, finding, editing, and organizing. In this literature study the types of fish analyzed were catfish, tilapia, snakehead fish, eel, catfish and carp. The optimum dose value obtained for each type of fish included a dose of 1% (catfish) , a dose of 0.01% (tilapia), a dose of 1% (cork fish), a dose of 1.5% (eel), 0.1% cinnamaldehyde (catfish) and 0.75% (carp). The use of cinnamon that exceeds the optimum limit will result in a decrease in the growth rate of the cultivated commodity.
