      Abstract

Lack of oxygen intake during the fish transportation process will cause fish stress and increase fish mortality. This study aims to determine the best freezing time and storage time of fish in cold aerated water in stunned live carp, as well as the best cold water flow rate, cold water quality, and observation of carp gills. This study used clove oil anesthetic with a concentration of 125 ppm to stun fish and antifreeze glycerol with a concentration of 5% for further freezing stages at 90 minutes, 120 minutes, and 150 minutes and storage time in aerated cold water for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes, and 150 minutes. The survival rate of goldfish after freezing treatment and storage in aerated cold water ranged from 55-100%. Provision of cold water flow with a temperature of 10°C with a discharge of 0 L/second, 0.5 L/second, and 1.1 L/second. The best freezing time and storage in aerated cold water is 150 minutes. The best flow rate was found at 0.5 L/second with a survival rate of 88.9%. The quality of goldfish refining water is influenced by the flow rate of the water used.
