      Pengaruh Jenis Slat Kandang Panggung terhadap Cedera dan Performa Produksi Ayam Broiler

      Abstract
      Cedera yang dapat ditimbulkan oleh lantai slat yang digunakan pada ayam broiler adalah Foot Pad Lession, Hock Burn, dan Breast Blister. Cedera yang terjadi pada ayam broiler akan berdampak pada penurunan produksi daging. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi rataan cedera dan performa produksi ayam pedaging yang dipelihara di kandang panggung dengan jenis/bahan slat yang berbeda. Penelitian menggunakan ayam pedaging strain Jumbo 747 Hijau dari PT. Cibadak Indah Sari Farm. Variabel yang diukur adalah cedera dan performa produksi. Pengukuran dilakukan pada ayam berumur 35 hari. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji T (Independent Samples T-test) untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan slat konvensional dan slat plastik buatan pabrik terhadap performa produksi ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan jenis slat yang berbeda hanya mempengaruhi persentase tingkat kejadian cedera Foot Pad Lesion (FPL) dan Hock Burn (HB), tetapi cedera tersebut tidak berpengaruh terhadap performa produksi (P>0,05). Konversi pakan yang lebih baik ditemukan pada slat konvensional dengan nilai sebesar 1,51. Mortalitas yang terjadi pada penelitian ini bukan disebabkan karena pengaruh jenis slat yang berbeda, melainkan faktor lain.
       
      Injuries that can be caused by slat floors used in broiler chickens are Foot Pad Lession, Hock Burn, and Breast Blister. Injuries that occur in broilers will have an impact on decreasing meat production. This study aims to evaluate the injury rate and production performance of broilers reared in stilt cages with different types/materials of slats. The study used the Jumbo 747 Hijau strain of broilers from PT. Cibadak Indah Sari Farm. The variables measured were injury and production performance. Measurements were made on 35 day old chickens. The data obtained were analyzed using the T test (Independent Samples T-test) to see the effect of using conventional slats and factory-made plastic slats on broiler production performance. The results showed that the use of different types of slats only affected the percentage of the incidence of Foot Pad Lesion (FPL) and Hock Burn (HB) injuries, but these injuries had no effect on production performance (P>0.05). Better feed conversion was found in conventional slats with a value of 1.51. The mortality that occurred in this study was not caused by the influence of different types of slat, but other factors.
