      Pengaruh Metode Pemanenan Spirulina platensis dengan Filtrasi Vakum terhadap Biomassa

      Abstract
      Spirulina platensis merupakan salah satu jenis mikroalga yang memiliki berbagai jenis pemanfaaatan baik untuk kesehatan dan kosmetik. Spirulina umumnya dipanen menggunakan penyaringan konvensional. Tujuan penelitian ini menentukan pengaruh ukuran filter terhadap biomasa S. platensis menggunakan alat filtrasi vakum yang dimodifikasi. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi pembuatan alat filtrasi vakum, kultivasi, dan pemanenan biomassa S. platensis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada pemanenan hasil kultur S. platensis menggunakan alat filtrasi vakum dengan perlakuan filter nilon 200 mesh lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. Filter nilon tersebut memiliki nilai fluks 7,72 L/m2s, waktu proses 1,55 menit, nilai rejeksi 99,19%, yang menghasilkan masa biomasa basah dan kering berturut-turut 23,82 g dan 4,11 g, dan kadar air biomassa kering 8,97%.
       
      Spirulina platensis is the one of microalgae species which have utilization in healthy and cosmetic sector. Spirulina generally harvested with conventional filtration. The purpose of this research determines the effect of filter mesh size on S. platensis biomass with modified filtration device. The steps of this research were vacuum filtration device modification, cultivation and harvesting S. platensis biomass. The result of research was vacuum filtration with 200 mesh nylon filter variant more effective than other. Nylon filter 200 mesh had flux rate 4.49 L/m2s, time process 1.55 minutes, rejection rate 99.19%, which produced wet and dried biomass were 19.08 g and 4.63 g respectively, with water content 8.97%.
