| dc.description.abstract | Transportasi ternak dapat menyebabkan terjadinya stres yang berakibat pada perubahan bobot badan dan respon fisiologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan bobot badan dan respon fisiologis Domba Ekor Tipis yang diberi larutan elektrolit berbasis air kelapa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan 20 ekor Domba Ekor Tipis jantan dengan bobot badan 21,47 ± 1,47 kg. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan lima ulangan yaitu P0 = kontrol (400 ml air), P1 = 100 ml air kelapa + 300 ml air, P2 = 200 ml air kelapa + 200 ml air, P3 = 300 ml air kelapa + 100 ml air. Selanjutnya, analisis data dilakukan dengan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian air kelapa tua pada domba ekor tipis tidak berpengaruh nyata (P >0,05) terhadap suhu rektal domba, akan tetapi berpengaruh nyata (P <0,05) terhadap penyusutan bobot badan, denyut jantung dan frekuensi pernafasan domba ekor tipis. Pemberian air kelapa tua pada domba ekor tipis sebelum transportasi mampu menekan stres dan susut bobot badan domba akibat transportasi. | id |

weight and physiological responses. This study aims to analyze changes in body
weight and physiological responses of Thin Tail Sheep given a coconut water-based
electrolyte solution. This research was conducted using 20 male thin-tailed sheep
with body weights 21,47 ± 1,47 kg. This study used a completely randomized
design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications; P0 = control (400 ml plain
water), P1 = 100 ml coconut water + 300 ml plain water, P2 = 200 ml coconut water
+ 200 ml plain water, P3 = 300 ml coconut water + 100 ml plain water. Furthermore,
the data analysis was performed using ANOVA and complexity by using Duncan
test. The results showed that giving old coconut water to Thin Tail Sheep had no
significant effect (P >0.05) on the rectal temperature of the sheep, but had a
significant effect (P <0.05) on body weight loss, heart rate and respiratory
frequency of thin tail sheep. Giving of old coconut water waste to Thin Tail Sheep
before transportation is able to reduce stress and weight loss of sheep due to
