|dc.description.abstract||Pasundan cattle is a local beef cattle from West Java Indonesian that
expected to fulfill the meat demand, especially in West Java. The increasing
efforts of beef cattle productivity is constrained by the availability of forage feed
materials. Forage feed availability fluctuate especially during the dry season.
Another limitation in the increasing of beef cattle productivity is the lack of
nutrient content in the feed, such as protein. To overcome these problems required
the addition of feed supplement in the Wafer form containing Leucaena Leaves.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of Wafer supplement in the
different levels on the nutreint digestibility and performance of Pasundan cattle.
This study used blok randomized design using 4 treatments and 5
replications. The treatments were P0: conventional feed (bran, rice straw, and
elephant grass), P1: conventional feed + 5% Leucaena wafer, P2: conventional
feed + 9.5% Leucaena wafer, P3: conventional feed + 15% Leucaena wafer). The
grouping is based on body weight ie. very small body weight (70.23 ± 9.15 kg),
small (99.55 ± 7.87 kg), medium (115.23 ± 8.44 kg), large (136.59 ± 7.10 kg).
The variables were nutrient intake and digestibility, final body weight, daily body
weight gain, feed efficiency, and income over feed cost (IOFC).
The result showed that the addition of wafers supplement containing
lamtoro leaves did not affect the nutrient digestibility. However, the addition of
wafer supplement at level 9.5% increased (P<0.05) nutrient consumption, body
weight, daily weight gain, feed efficiency, and IOFC compared to the other
