Studi Tinggi Pemotongan Padi pada Kegiatan Panen Manual dan Perontokan Menggunakan Throw-In Type Power Thresher.
Abstract
One way of threshing paddy grain is using throw-in type power thresher. Before threshing, paddy is cut at the upper point of the straw. The purpose of this study was to measure and compare the losses and working performances during cutting, transporting, and threshing among the height of 30, 40, 50 and 60 cm cutting above the ground with sickle and power thresher. The 40 cm height of cutting gave the lowest losses and total cost, those are 4.59 %, Rp 2 043 360/ha for Ciherang dan 5.03 %, Rp 1 704 860/ha for Inpari 13. The 60 cm height of cutting gave the best capacity, EFC (Effective Field Capacity) of cutting, EFC of transporting, and EFC of threshing are 0.005 ha/hour.person, 0.075 ha/hour.person, dan 0.191 ha/hour for Ciherang and 0.006 ha/hour.person, 0.104 ha/hour.person, dan 0.215 ha/hour for Inpari 13. Those factors can be taken into consideration, especially in selecting the height of cutting paddy based on the amount of losses and benefits that are caused by grain losses, costs, and work performances.
