dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research was to design an airship and conduct the performance test. The design was refered to The Standard Atmosphere (ISA) and The Royal Aeronautical Society for determination of airship’s dimensions. Analysis resulted the dimensional volume, lenght, and diameter were 40 m3, 10.8 m, dan 2.7 m respectively. Analysis of the frame has shown the value τ = 0.13 kg/mm2 < τallowed dan σ = 0.044 kg/mm2 < σallowed, and efficiency of the rivet’s joint was 50 %. The performance test shows the hot air (93.4 oC and 57.3 oC) can be lifted the load up to 3.8 kg. Based on the results it was not feasible in accordance with the plan that can be lifted 10 kg. Balloon with volume 105.3 m3 could lift the load 10 kg.id
