This study was conducted to evaluate sludge worm, artificial diet and probioticas a diet of larval Clarias sp. One day old larvae with total length of 0.5 ± 0.03 cm were stocked into a 15 plastic container diameter of 40 cm and filled with water up to 15 cm. D2 Clariaslarvae were fed on Artemiasalina. From d3 till d8,the larvae were fed on either sludge worm, artificial diet plus sludge worm, artificial dietplus probiotics plus sludge worm, artificial diet, or artificial diet plus probiotics. During the period of d9 till d14, they were fed on artificial diet. Results showed that larvae fed on sludge worm had significantly the highest survival rate (95 %); size distribution of lavae in this groups was also dominated by the large fish (72.5 %). On the other hand, larvae fed on artificial diet had the lowest survival rate (73.4 %), and was dominated by the small fish (99.5%). Protein efficiency ratio between sludge worm and artificial diet treatments were not significantly different. However, the addition of probioticinto the artificial diet enhanced the protein efficiency ratio and the growth of larvae.id
