Strategi Adaptasi Nelayan terhadap Penetapan Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Daerah di Misool Selatan, KKPD Raja Ampat

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the characteristics of fishers communities in Regional Marine Conservation Area, adaptation strategies of fishers, and relationship characteristics of fishers household with adaptation strategies in facing of determination of KKPD. This research uses quantitative and qualitative methods. The results shows the characteristics of fishers communities consists of social interaction, organization of work, lifestyle, financial management, occupational diversification, and technological adaptations. The fishers adaptation strategy in facing the determination of KKPD are diversification in economic activities, investment, social networks, and migration. The adaptation strategies of fishers are in high category on investment and social networks, while the diversification of economic activities and migration are in middle category. In general there is no relationship between the characteristics of fishers household with adaptation strategies that fishers do.
