Karakteristik Individu, Iklim Komunikasi, dan Tingkat Kohesivitas Anggota Kelompok Tani Bina Tani Mandiri

Abstract

High-intensity of communication is necessary in a group, for example by build condusive climate communication. This study aimed to describe individual characteristics, animal husbandry characteristics, level of participation, communication climate, and cohesiveness level of Bina Tani Mandiri Farmers Group Members; to analyze the correlation between individual characteristics with supportive and defensive communication climate; the correlation between animal husbandry characteristics with supportive and defensive communication climate; the correlation between level of participation with supportive and defensive communication climate; and the correlation between supportive and defensive communication climate with cohesiveness level of Bina Tani Mandiri Farmers Group members. This study used quantitative approach which supported by qualitative approach. Thirty active members of Bina Tani Mandiri Farmers Group had become respondent in this study. The results showed that goals of group level had significant correlation with supportive and defensive communication climate. Besides, supportive and defensive communication climate also had significant correlation with cohesiveness level. In additon, this study showed that age level, educational attainment, main job, secondary job, goals of individual level, experience level, animal husbandry business’s scale, and complicity in the implementation, planning, and evaluation phase had no significant correlation with supportive and defensive communication climate of Bina Tani Mandiri Farmers Group members.
