Lemna minor L. and Salvinia molesta Mitchell. can be used as an alternative for poultry and ruminant feed. Those plants could grow well in the tropical climate. This research aims to evaluate productivity of the various of growth media and to obtain the optimal production of Lemna minor L. and Salvinia molesta Mitchell. cultivation which divided into 5 treatment with 5 replication respectively. Treatment that used in this research are control, hoagland, hyponex, compost and NPK. The parameters that analyzed in this study were total nitrogen, pH value, cover area, decrease of media volume, biomass production, dry matter, ash, organic matter, and productivity potential of Lemna minor L. and Salvinia molesta Mitchell. The research data were analyzed with a completely randomized design. The result of this study indicates that hoagland media and compost are the optimal medium for the growth of Lemna minor L. while Salvinia molesta Michell. in hoagland mediaen
