The addition of attractants is expected to give positive correlations to the amount of feed taken and the growth of the shrimp. The purpose of this study was to determine the best attractant of three different sources squid meal, small shrimp meal and shrimp paste in order to stimulate the appetite of the shrimps. The experiments were performed using 8 units of aquariums sized 100x50x35 cm3 with stocking density of 10 shrimps/aquarium. Design used in this study was completely randomized design with three treatments of attractants addition on commercial feed in duplicaty. As much as 2% of squid meal, 2% of small shrimp meal, and 2% of shrimp paste was added to the commercial feed of each treatment using re-pelleting method while commercial feed without addition of attractants was used as the control diet. Feed test was given using at satiation method. The results showed that the best treatment of this study was the addition of 2% of shrimp paste which showed total feed consumption of 56.11±1.54 gram which could be concluded that it could be used as attractant for giant freshwater prawn feed.en
