Studi Unjuk Kerja Pelumpuran Tanah Sawah Menggunakan Traktor Roda Dua dan Empat di Desa Sukamandi, Subang, Jawa Barat

Abstract

Soil puddling of paddy is soil tilling activities by mixing soil and water to produce mud. Soil puddling method on paddy field can be done utilized twowheels tractor or four-wheels tractor. The objective of the research was to analyse and compare soil puddling results utilized two-wheel and four-wheel tractors in Sukamandi Village, Subang, West Java. Results of the research showed that effective field capacity, puddling index, softness of puddled soil index, and uniformity index utilized two-wheel tractor and spike-tooth harrow were 0.136 ha/hour, 82.14%, 82.65%, and 98.52% respectively, and utilized four-wheel tractor and rotary plow were 0.673 ha/hour, 83.70%, 87.50%, and 99.25% respectively.
