dc.description.abstract | This experiment was held at Slamet Quail Farm in Sukabumi, and Poultry Nutrition Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science, Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor, from June to September, 2013. This research aimed to evaluated the effects of tecton leaf as addition in diet of quail. Laying quails aged 6 weeks and 180 heads had body weight average about 165.11±10.53 g were allowed in completely randomized design, that divided into four treatments with three replications. The treatments were classified into : basal diet (P0), basal diet + 3% tecton leaf meal (P1), basal diet + 6% tecton leaf meal (P2), basal diet + 9% tecton leaf meal (P3). Variables were feed intake, egg production, egg weight, egg mass, feed conversion ration and mortatilty. The result of this research showed that tecton leaf meal did not significantly affect on egg production, egg weight, egg mass, and feed conversion, but significantly decreased on feed intake (P<0.05). There was no mortality during this experiment. The addition of tecton leaf meal in ration decreased value of income overfeed cost. Tecton leaf meal supplementation was increased feed cost. | en |
