dc.description.abstractZink and vitamin E plays an active role in the metabolism and protect blood cells whose function is to transport nutrients. The objective of this study was to evaluase the effect of Zn and vitamin E suplementation on performances of kampong chicken (Gallus domesticus) and the length of the shank. One hundred and sixty kampong chickens were used in this experiment and reared from 8 up to 10 weeks of age. The data analyzed with a Completely Randomized Design using 5 treatment diets and 4 replications, with 10 birds in each replicate. The experimental diets were : R1 ( control diet, without mineral Zn and vitamin E), R2 ( R1 + Zn 200ppm ), R3 ( R1+ vitamin E 200IU ), and R4 ( R1 + Zn 200ppm and vitamin E 200IU ). Parameter observed were feed intake, the final body weight, body weight gain, feed conversion, mortality, lenght of the shank.The results showed that Zn and vitamin E suplementation did not affect the performances of kampung chicken. There was no mortality due to treatments during the study. Mineral Zn and Vitamin E in the diets were already meet the requirement of kampong chickenen
