dc.description.abstract | Pepper is one of the vegetables that is generally consumed by people in Indonesia. The demand fluctuation can affected the price of pepper. This study aims to analyze determinants of pepper demand and household response to the price fluctuation and income changes. This research was conducted from December 2013 until Januari 2014 with 40 household consumer as samples in Coblong, Bandung. Based on this research, the factors that affect pepper demand are its price and family members (significant at 99 confidence level), while the other variables such as purchasing frequency, ethnic group, preference of spicy food, and household income is less significant at 99 confidence level. Demand response to the price change is elastic. | en |
