The aim of this research was to determine the optimal level of sunflower seed oil in the diet that evaluated through measurement of nutrient digestibility in Garut ewes at the middle period of pregnancy. This research used completely randomized design and divided into four treatments. The treatments were P0 (without sunflower seed oil), P1 (2% of sunflower seed oil), P2 (4% of sunflower seed oil) and P3 (6% of sunflower seed oil). Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and any significant differences were further tested using polynomial orthogonal. The result showed that the treatments did not affect the consumption and digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, N-free extract, total digestible nutrients, average daily gain and feed efficiency, but its significantly affected (P<0.05) the consumption and digestibility of crude fat. It is concluded that the use of sunflower seed oil at 4% level could increase the consumption and digestibility of crude fat.
