dc.description.abstractPotato cultivation is often carried out on the highland areas and it is rarely done on the lowland areas are facing the problem of land erosion and widespread disease. Therefore, it is necessary to study which examines the possibility of seed potato production in the lowlands. The lowlands tend to have higher temperatures compared with the optimum temperature for the cultivation of potatoes. The aim of this research is to know the distribution of temperature in a polybag planting media after being given a nutrient solution that is cooled 10 ºC with Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) in lowland areas. Further simulations validated with measurements, using linear regression method and percentage error. The results showed that the distribution of the planting medium temperatures given nutrient solution 10 ºC can maintain the temperature of the media remain low. The results showed that the results of validation simulations using CFD approach the value of temperature measurement on media in polybag.en
dc.description.abstractBudidaya kentang yang pada umumnya dilakukan pada daerah dataran tinggi dan jarang dilakukan pada daerah dataran rendah menghadapi masalah erosi lahan dan banyaknya penyakit. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian yang mengkaji kemungkinan produksi benih kentang di dataran rendah. Dataran rendah cenderung memiliki suhu yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan suhu optimum untuk budidaya kentang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui distribusi suhu media tanam dalam polybag setelah diberi larutan nutrisi yang didinginkan 10ºC dengan Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) di daerah dataran rendah . Selanjutnya hasil simulasi divalidasi dengan hasil pengukuran, menggunakan metode regresi linier dan persentase error. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa distribusi suhu media tanam yang diberi larutan nutrisi 10ºC dapat mempertahankan suhu media tetap rendah. Hasil validasi memperlihatkan bahwa hasil simulasi menggunakan CFD mendekati nilai suhu pengukuran pada media di dalam polybag.id
