dc.description.abstractThis study is aimed at studying the use of nutrient rich suplement at different levels in rice straw and bran based diet on in vitro fermentability and digestibility. Ration treatments were : P1 = Rice straw and rice bran as control diet, P2 = P1 + SKN 2.99%, P3 = P1 + SKN 5.81% and P4 = P1 + SKN 8.48%. A factorial randomized block design (RBD) 4 x 3 with four groups of rumen fluids was used in fermentability study, a randomized block design (4 treatments and 4 group of rumen fluids) was used in digesbility study. The result showed that concentrations of ammonia and total VFA, degradability, and digestibility were influenced by treatments and incubation time. The result of contrast orthogonal test showed that treatment P4 is the optimal treatment for fermentability and digestibility. The highest fermentability was achieved at 3 hour incubation time.en
