Evaluasi Penggunaan Tepung Garut, Tepung Ubi Jalar dan Onggok sebagai Perekat Pellet Terhadap Persentase Bobot Karkas, Lemak Abdomen dan Organ Dalam Ayam Broiler

The experiment was conducted to evaluation of the usage of garut flour, sweet potato, and onggok as pellet binder on percentage of carcass, abdominal fat and viscera of broiler chickens. Thirty two broilers were slaughtered from 240 Day Old Chiks were kept in litter house system for five weeks for this experiment. A Completely Randomized Design was used in this experiment with four treatments and four replications. The treatment diets were : A1 = the basal ration, A2 : A1 + 2% garut fluor, A3 = A1 + 2% sweat potato fluor and A4 = A1 + 2% onggok. The results showed that using of garut flour, sweet potato and onggok as pellet binder did not affect the persentage of carcass, abdominal fat and viscera of broiler chickens. The average of percentage of carcass weight, abdominal fat, heart, liver and gizzard in this experiment were 64.03%-64.41%, 0.87%-1.14%, 0.58%-0.61%, 2.53%-2.79% and 2.09%-2.20%. Conclusion of this research that treatments had not different effect on percentage of carcass weight, abdominal fat and viscera of broiler chicken.
