dc.description.abstractPekalongan located at North Java Beach in 6°50’44’’S and 109°37’55’’E, 6°55’44’’ S and -109°42’19’’ E. In 2011, population density of Pekalongan was 7,027 individu/km2 and 76% of the societies work in industrial sector with 69.5% of them work in industrial batik sectors. The total of industries in 2011 was 2,916 unit (small and medium industrial scale). The 99.8% of industries in Pekalongan are dominated by small scale industries with 83.1% of them were batik industries. In Pekalongan, it is only 0.6% of all textile industries which have wastewater treatment plants and the others textile industries disposed their wastewater into water bodies directly. For solving that problems, in 2003, The government of Pekalongan built the batik wastewater treatment plant in Jenggot and in 2009, it is continued build the batik wastewater treatment plant in Kauman. However, the locations and the capacities of the wastewater treatment plants could not handle the debit of wastewater from whole district in Pekalongan. Based on the reason, this research aimed to determine the best location of batik wastewater treatment plant by building a model using ArcObject. The specific objective of this research consist of indentified the impact of batik wastewater to water bodies qualities, determined the criteria of batik wastewater treatment, arrange the criteria of batik wastewater treatment using analytical hierarchy process, built a model to determine the best location of batik wastewater treatment plant and determined some the best location of batik wastewater treatment in Pekalongan. This research informed that the environmental problems due to batik wastewater in Pekalongan affected the water bodies quality. There are some water quality parameters were not comply to the The Government Regulations No. 82/2001. It implied to the increase of sedimentation, blooming algae, decrease of turbidity and the death of terestrial water biota. Based on literature study, the criteria of batik wastewater treatment consist of technical criteria, social, economy and environment. By using the AHP method, this research found that the priorities of wastewater are environmental load, wastewater debit, poppulation density, education, energy and economy. Whole procedures of determine the location for batik waste water treatment plant were resumed as a model using ArcObject. Based on the output of the program and analysis result, the result of the research recommended six location for batik wastewater treatment plant in Pekalongan. They are Jenggot, Kauman, Tirto, Pabean, Landungsari and Degayu district.en
