dc.description.abstractThe main agricultural products of the Kuningan districtare red onion. This commodities makes Kuningan district as a center of onion production in Indonesia. Based on data from the Department of Agriculture Kuningan district, in 2005 the production of onion in Kuningan district ranks first with a production rate of 244 456.2 tons. This study aims to (1) identify the characteristics of fried onions in Kuningan district, (2) determine the feasibility of onions fried in Kuningan district, (3) determinethe sensitivity of fried onions businesses in Kuningan district to changes affecting the business. The amount of business fried onions in Kuningan district there are 16 units that can be grouped into six types. Type A, B, C, D, E, and F. Financial analysis shows that the business is viable fried onions are fried onions effort type D and F. Both of types have their NPV value of 75 250 000 and 77 260 000, IRR of 33.00 percent and 32.00 percent, Net B/C ratio of 1.60 and 1.60, and the payback period for 3.30 months and 3.50 months. The sensitivity analysis showed that Type D and F efforts continue to demonstrate the value of the investment criteria for eligibility in the event of changes in prices of onion and product prices for 50.00 percent.en
