| dc.description.abstract | The election of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in the 2004 Presidential Election and Joko Widodo in Jakarta Local Election, supported by the non-ruling party, proving that people prefer a figure of candidate than the party supporters. Candidates should know in which segment he had the support and what image of the personality is attached to him. CHAID analysis produces 5 segments and divided by employment, ethnicity, and income variable. Candidate D as the incumbent also has the greatest support. Candidate D is assessed having the personality 'attention to people' and largely elected by voters who worked as a farmer and others. Each candidate have to maintain the support of the main voters and win the support of the other candidates voters.
