dc.description.abstractEel culture was still relying on elver from nature, but the silver and yellow eel have difficulties to mature gonad in culture condition. Hormone manipulation is one of method to manipulate gonadal maturation so that this study used combination of hormones and chemicals. Hormones were used is human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), recombinant growth hormone (rGH), pregnant mare serum gonadotropin (PMSG), and chemicals such as antidopamin. The combination were induced intramuscular every 7 days for 5 weeks and there are 8 fish per treatment Treatment in this study is PA. Control; PB. hCG 20 IU/kg eel + antidopamine 10 mg/kg; PC. hCG 20 IU/kg eel + antidopamine 10 mg/kg + rGH 10 mg/kg eel; PD. hCG 20 IU/kg eel; PE. hCG 20 IU/kg eel + PMSG 20 IU/kg eel. PC gave effect in spermatocyte formation on 6th and 8th based on histology. Eel pregnancy reached 87.5% per treatment, but control did not pregnancy. Gonad development in PC has reached testicular tubule formation stage, pre-spermatogenic phase, and early spermatogenic. Sexual status of Anguilla bicolor (117-199 g ; 37-45 cm) was male.en
