dc.description.abstractArgulus sp. is one of non-specific fish parasite, which can infect various species of fishes. Although, it still unknown whether there is any preference of fish species it liked. This experiment purposed to determine the preference of Argulus sp. in infecting five different species of fishes and its effect to the infected fish phisiology. Five different species of fishes including the family of Common carp, Giant gourami, Tilapia, Pangasius catfish and Walking catfish were infected by 150 Argulus sp. The result shows 100% of prevelence with the intensity of each parasite 55, 46, 20, 16, and 13. Common carp and Tilapia which infected by the intensity number of 10 Argulus sp. showed the reducing of body weight in 14 days. The number of Hematocrite and Hemoglobine of both fishes also decreased, but the number of white blood cell was increased.en
