dc.description.abstractThe demand for milk increased every year. However, domestic productivities are still only able to meet 20 until 25 percent of the national milk requirement. Low productivity, inefficient business scale, and distorting government policies, influence the national dairy farm. The aims of study was (1) to measure competitiveness and efficiency of scale dairy farm, (2) to measure the impact of government policies, (3) to analyze the sensitivity of the output prices change on the competitiveness and efficiency of scale dairy farm. The analytical method used is the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). The results showed that the dairy farm of medium and large-scale have competitiveness and efficient. Policy implications that have been and are being implemented by the government is considered not optimal to provide incentives and increasing the competitiveness of the dairy. As well as setting tariff duties (impor) 8 and 11 percent is considered capable of improving the competitiveness of the dairy.en
