Artemia as live feed of stripped catfish larvae has a high price and tend to increase in time. The objective of this research is to find out the most optimum combination of artemia and compound feeding for stripped catfish larva survival and growth. Five thousand catfish larvae were stocked in glass aquarium with the size 90x40x40 cm3 and 50 larvae in glass aquarium 20x10x15 cm3. Combination feeding experiment consisted of 77.19 g artemia as a control; 77.19 g of artemia and 27 mL of compound feed (treatment I); 57.89 g of artemia and 33.75 mL of compound feed (treatment II); and 38.59 g of artemia and 40.5 mL of compound feed (treatment III). Survival rate of larvae on day 3th was 71.67%; 60.00%; 65.00%; and 31.25% respectively. While larva survival on 18 days was 50.27%; 34.50%; 53.33%; and 31.23% respectively. During the three days of experiment on survival, treatment III showed significanly lower survival. Absolute larvae length on 3 days experiment was 0.69 cm; 0.70 cm; 0.64 cm; and 0.59 cm respectively. Absolute larvae length the treatment was not significanly diffirent from each other, except for treatment III. Absolute larvae length in 18 days experiment was 1.52 cm; 1.40 cm; 1.51 cm; and 1.42 cm respectively. Combination of artemia and compound feed had an effect on survival rate. Compound feed could not totally replace artemia as a live feed, however it can be used as a complement feed.en
