      Budidaya Trichantera gigantea untuk Peningkatan Pertumbuhan dan Produktifitas Tanaman Berbasis Jarak Tanam dan Pemupukan

      Abstract
      Trichantera gigantea is a new protein source which potentially used for ruminant and monogastric, its growth and productivity was measured in this research. This research was designed by Randomized Blok Design with two factor. The first factor was plant spacing among 100 cm x 50 cm (J1), 100 cm x 100 cm (J2), and 100 cm x 150 cm (J3). The second factor was fertilization in three kinds of fertilizer. There are organic fertilizer 1 kg (P1), anorganic fertilizer (NPK) 15 g (P2), and combination of both fertilizers (organic fertilizer 0.5 kg + NPK 7.5 g) (P3). The observation was the growth response of plant which include vertical height, leaves and branch amount every week, leaf colour index, harvested leaves, dried leaves weight. The result was analysed with Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) and showed that organic fertilizer give the best result of branch amount, leaves amount, harvested leaves, and dried leaves weight. Plant spacing give a significant result of harvested leaves in the second period. Interaction of both of two factors was significant on vertical height in the second period and leaf colour index in the first period.
       
      Trichantera gigantea adalah hijauan sumber protein yang berpotensi sebagai pakan ruminansia dan monogastrik yang diuji pertumbuhan dan produktivitasnya pada penelitian ini. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jarak tanam antara 100 cm x 50 cm (J1), 100 cm x 100 cm (J2), dan 100 cm x 150 cm (J3), dan faktor kedua adalah pemupukan menggunakan tiga jenis pupuk diantaranya pupuk kandang 1kg/lubang tanam (P1), pupuk NPK 15g/lubang tanam(P2), dan pupuk kombinasi (pupuk kandang 0.5kg + pupuk NPK 7.5g)/lubang tanam (P3). Peubah yang diamati adalah tinggi vertikal, pertambahan jumlah cabang dan daun, warna daun, jumlah daun yang dipanen, dan berat kering daun. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan diperoleh hasil bahwa pupuk kandang memberikan pengaruh yang paling baik terhadap jumlah cabang, jumlah daun, jumlah daun yang dipanen, dan berat kering daun. Interaksi kedua faktor berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tinggi vertikal pada panen ke-2 dan warna daun pada panen ke-1.
